Belmont Lake NC Golf Course is the “Talk of the Town”

Since being purchased by the Halle Building Group just under two years ago, the stunning renovations and quality additions that are synonymous with the Maryland based developers have grabbed the attention of golfers across the state, as the Belmont Lake Golf Club in Rocky Mount has seen a 500 percent increase in membership at the beautiful NC Golf Course in the past 18 months.

A recent article in Triangle Golf Today (TGT) focused on the beautification of the NC Golf Course and the meteoric rise it has seen in both membership sales and rounds of golf played at the Belmont Lake Club. The Triangle Golf piece detailed that In addition to the aforementioned 500 percent increase in memberships, the rounds of golf played at Belmont Lake have increased in the past year from 5,000 to a projected 22,000 for 2014. Speaking with TGT on the growth he has seen since leaving his previous gigs at Charlotte Country Club and The Palisades Country Club, Belmont Lake head pro, Tim Wilke explained, “When I came here I knew there was ample opportunity for progress to be made. It just took some energy and commitment and enthusiasm.”

Along with that energy and enthusiasm that Wilke spoke of, the Halle Companies have also added their signature quality touch and class to not only the NC Golf Course, but to the entire Belmont Lake Preserve community which features both on course and off course home lots and ready to move in custom homes. The addition of a newly designed Community Clubhouse complete with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness facility, and dining areas, along with an all new golf clubhouse with a full pro shop and one of the Rocky mount areas most popular dining spots, “The Main Course at Belmont” restaurant are just a few of the great new amenities that have aided in the surge of visitors to the Belmont Lake NC Golf Course.

“We’re the one golf course that is probably on the upswing right now rather than struggling,” noted Wilke.
It is up to us to keep it in great shape and keep it moving forward.” He concluded, “This place has come a long, long way, Belmont is kind of the talk of the town here in Rocky Mount”
